I need a foot length of 2.5" diameter pipe. Most likely PVC, but any non-conductive, non-ferrous, and low moisture material will do.

I have called around to plenty of places but its hard to find anything in-between 2" and 3"

I am working on a high voltage transformer and can't continue construction until I have this pipe.

Where can I find this?

Halp.

So, i know it's not really prime camping season, but some friends and i were going to go anyway the end of next week, and i'm having difficulty finding a good place that's not closed til mid-May, so i need some recommendations. Would like something within a 2-hour drive if possible, something somewhat secluded. Just someplace we can park, set up our tents, and have a campfire. By a lake, river, or creek would be nice too.
Thanks in advance for any help, sark, ass-hattery, etc.

in the cheap fun department (because i'm starting to feel like [info]seattle has a cheap fun department) the Sounders play a preseason "friendly" match against the Portland Timbers at Qwest Field Thursday night at 6pm. general admission seating, $10. walk up to the box office at the stadium to avoid ticketbastard fees.

proceeds go to Boys and Girls Club of Washington State, Seattle SCORES, Soccer Saves and Washington Youth Soccer. following the match the Sounders FC coaches and players will sign autographs from the field.

Cliff Lee threw three strong innings in his first start for the Mariners on Wednesday, then told reporters he likes what he's seen so far from his new Seattle situation.

I got laid off yesterday. I haven't been unemployed since I was 16.
What do your people do for fun that is inexpensive or free? I need ideas so I don't sit on the couch eating Fritos and watching Steve Wilkos Show.

The weather remains chilly in Arizona as the Mariners continue spring training efforts, but things warmed up a little off the field Wednesday with a story on Milton Bradley in ESPNChicago.com.

Seattle Mariners GM Jack Zduriencik made his first cuts of spring training on Wednesday, sending eight players down to the minor leagues to reduce the number of players in the big-league camp to 55.

Why I bother reading [info]hauntings:

The community is filled with teenagers desperate for validation. It's like watching them stand on the precipice of choosing between a life in scientology or a life in porn.

I realize that this begs the question of my own belief system - do I think there are ghosts?

I think that there are pockets of energy that people want to say are spirits. I don't believe they are. I think that since physics shows us that energy is neither created nor destroyed, that in some cases odd vortexes of energy exchange are going on, moving between potential and kinetic energy in a constant state of flux.

Thus there are times where you feel chilled, or a door closes suddenly. But it's not an intelligence. It's just potential energy exchange to kinetic, and then back. Once we figure out perpetual motion, or approaching perpetual motion, we'll see fewer people saying there are ghosts.

I was doing well tonight, doing good. Then I made a bad choice in one game in a match and I lost the entire match. *sigh*

Ah well. I should have known better.

What establishments in Seattle hooks you up with a free drink/slice of cake because it's your birthday?

It's not that I'm going to go to a fancy dinner cause it's my birthday and not be able to afford a couple drinks. It would be something free for one day out of the year. So why not ask?

This is to remind me later of something I need to write up. So you can view this as a "watch this space" kind of thing if you're interested in my philosophical stuff.

but I need to write up the logical fallacies of "in class-set" versus "not in class-set" arguments.

Actually on one level it seems silly to have to point out the logical fallacy but people use it every fucking day.

After suffering their first financial loss since moving to Safeco Field in 2008, the Seattle Mariners were back in the profit-making mode last season, according to the team's annual report released Monday.

This song just came up on my Zune and gave me hardcore flashbacks. I used to play T Rex CONSTANTLY while writing my philosophy papers in college. Especially when I lived in my first apartment.

This song in particular makes me nostalgic. I don't know why, but whenever I hear it I think about being up late, banging out revisions on my typewriter (yes! typewriter!).

Matt Tuiasosopo and Adam Moore hit the ball well, Jose Lopez struggled at third and, well, the MLB Network showed the 1975 All-Star game instead of the M's for much of Monday.
